Jermaine Alexander

 

Alexander's career spans both stage and screen. In 2011, he moved to L.A from the Bay Area and continued his training with master teachers while taking on any acting role he could. He's performed at The Robey Theartre, Santa Monica Playhouse, Lee Strasberg institute, Long Beach playhouse and many independent theaters. These projects consisted of the works from August Wilson, Anton Checkov, and Lynn Nottage just to name a few.

 

Jermaine Alexander, born and raised in Oakland California, holds a BA in Theater Arts from CSU Hayward. He  has been producing and directing short stories, music videos and promo commercials for 8 years. Jermaine has worked as an Production Assistant for the Tavis Smiley Show and a few independent films. Then shortly after he's worked as an Associate Producer for KCET's Emmy award winning show Socal Connected. Shortly after he's ventured into producing and directing feature length films. Jermaine gets joy from working with actors. Being an actor himself he understands the problems actors have and can easily pin point and then resolve them.Jermaine Alexander is an American actor known for his charming and dynamic performances. He is best known for his role as Frankie on 'The Young and The Restless'.

In 2014, Alexander wrote, directed, acted in and produced a pilot 'California Dreamin'. It was received well by local critics but declined by NBC Universal. Also, he directed his first indie feature film titled Foreseen based on a novel by Ashley Fontainne. It can be found on Amazon Prime.

Currently he works with The Robey Theatre company as a producing editor to service a community through Robey's mission statement.

Alexander had edited Golden Hearted and Resilient Valor-PTSD which are circling the festival circuit and winning awards More to come.
